PRIOR TO YOUR DAY OF SURGERY
- WHAT TO EXPECT
- Prior to the day of your surgery, you will receive at least three phone calls
- Within two weeks of your surgery, a registration team member will call to obtain insurance verification. The team may make a follow-up call for payment if you have fees due before surgery.
- A nurse will call to complete a pre-surgical health assessment.
- You will receive a courtesy call the day before your procedure to provide you with your arrival time.
- If your surgeon requires you to have lab tests, an EKG, or X-rays prior to surgery, we encourage you to have the tests completed within one week of your surgery date.
- Your doctor may provide you with additional information regarding medications and diet. Please follow all instructions given to you.
- Dearborn Surgery Center acknowledges that the days leading up to surgery can be confusing, and we are available by phone to answer any questions. Our phone lines are open from 5:00 am until 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
